Vista PEAK Preparatory Bond Project
Contractors completed Vista PEAK Preparatory’s STEM wing addition in summer 2018. The project included building additions with new classrooms, including a three-classroom STEM academy, a wrestling and weight room and a cafeteria expansion.
Flying drones and 3-dimensional printing are just a few of the many unique opportunities Vista PEAK Preparatory students can now learn in their new STEM wing. Learning spaces in the school’s two-story classroom addition provide support for the science, technology, engineering and math pathway.
In addition, the new wing expands the school’s capacity from 1,350 to 2,250 students. This will accommodate projected enrollment growth over the next five years.
The project was made possible through bond funds approved by generous district voters in November 2016. The 2016 bond will make improvements at every school and benefit every student throughout the APS district.
